An Award Winning Single Malt Whisky. CRAIGELLACHIE® is the rock at the heart of Speyside, yet is anything but your typical ‘Speyside’ whisky. Considered old fashioned even in 1891; some might call the distillery stubborn or eccentric, but we believe it’s stayed true to traditions.
Its muscular, robust character comes from the use of traditional worm tub condensers, cooling the vapour once leaving the stills resulting in less copper contact during production. It’s this full, yet aromatic, character that has made Craigellachie a prized malt for blending since the late 19th century. Bottled at 46% ABV, with no caramel colouring or chill filtration, this is a single malt for those who can handle big flavour. If you’ve cracked peaty malts, now it’s time for Craigellachie.
33 years in oak allows for all the flavors to fold together harmoniously, Craigellachie’s muscular brimstone character has softened with time, granting a creamy cereal complexity to the liquid.

Tasting Note:

Beautifully Balanced, smooth, and rich with a swirl of smoke in the Background. papaya sprinkled with black pepper, coconut porridge with a lingering floral element: chamomile and rose water. A contradiction in a glass – elegant and refined yet framed by a muscular, almost bonfire-esque element. flavors fold together: cedar wood, exotic fruits, a cereal complexity, and rum and raisin ice cream. silky smooth with a lingering sweet almond note and a sumptuous creamy finish.
